I wanted to share the topic of conversation from our mom's Sunday School class today... maybe you know someone who is doing this, or have heard, or seen it already: RACK -- which stands for Random Acts of Christmas Kindness.
I've said it before, Christmas can be so commercial... and doesn't that leave you feeling empty inside (and not just your pockets)? If we want our children to grow up and really experience the true reason for the season, to avoid creating an entitled attitude, maybe we should focus more on giving outside of our own four walls that we call home.
I hope you will take the time to click over to this blog and read some of the creative ideas she came up with to spread some Christmas cheer.
There are some really simple and inspiring ideas! I think I'll read the list to Shimmer and Shine tomorrow after school and see if there are a few they want to try doing. Tonight Shimmer and I went Christmas caroling at three local personal care homes. She was shy, but I know it brings joy to the older generation to see little ones like her singing to them. Praying that their hearts were warmed by our brief visit.

After church this morning, Shimmer picked a book from our advent pile. They are getting smart now and trying to guess the books before they open them. This one was obviously a board book and she guessed it right away... Mouse's First Christmas.
Love and I gave her this cute little picture book during her first Christmas season. She may have long ago outgrown it, but the ending still makes it worth a read!
