Now Featuring!

Just wanted to share a little bit of excitement from our house Monday night. I'm in love with Pinterest... and last month I stumbled upon a new feature hosted by the DIY club called Project Pinterest. The just of it was to create a board on Pinterest of all things you chose related to their announced theme (for February it was the color RED). To be honest, I've never been a big fan of the color red; but, after discovering all the pretty things we pinned I'm definitely feeling the love. Anyway, Shimmer and I spent some time together surfing pinterest here and there and coming up with ideas of what we wanted on our board. We were definitely focused on quality over quantity, and presenting a nice variety of all things red.

Well (drumroll)... out of 35 entries, our board was chosen by the DIY club as one of their features! Shimmer was at tumbling class when I discovered this and I was super excited to reveal the news to her after Love picked her up and brought her home. We did a little happy dance together and Shine wondered what was going on. He thought we won this cute camper that we chose as our cover via Apartment Therapy... and, didn't really understand the concept of only "winning" bragging rights ;) Shimmer did though! A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes...

I'm a dreamer... maybe you are, too?

I've been starting this blog for the past several months in my mind. To begin... it's a journal of how I make our new house a home, an outlet for my craftiness and love of pretty parties, and hopefully a place to pour my heart out and empty my mind.

I'm a child of God, a lucky wife, and a blessed mom of two wonderful miracles. My Love is an awesome provider for our family and my children are both now school age. God has given me the opportunity to work part-time at their school in finance and the flexibilty I have is a gift.

Aside from having a knack for numbers though, my true passions are creative and over the last six months or so, I've begun to have visions of my own party supply studio. It will be just a "dream" for sometime... my priorities are with my children and their school while they are there. I have years to plan and this is the first step... can't wait to see where it leads!
